We were escorted for two days in and around Bodhgaya, and Nalanda by one of Babul Singh Ji’s drivers (Bodhgaya Taxi Company) and I can recommend this company for anyone with a similar travel itinerary. Our driver Harindra Kumar was a very polite young man, professional to the core from the point he picked us up from the Bodhgaya airport until our drop-off in Patna. I also noticed a similar complimentary review about Harindra by another fellow traveler elsewhere. The driver was very helpful all the way through, pointed out noteworthy sited/places of interest enroute to Nalanda from Bodhgaya and was quite knowledgeable about the region and the subject matter – about Buddhism in our case. Per my leading comments, I have no hesitation in recommending this company for your Buddhist pilgrimage inland travel needs. Bonus tip: If you are a prospective pilgrim to this part of India, consider using Bodhgaya Taxi for all your Buddhist circuit travel needs regardless of the location. I did not appreciate the fact that I could have used this company for the remainder of my trip to Varanasi, Kushinagar and Lumbini in Nepal. We used a different taxi company based in Gorakhpur for our travel needs in Kushinagar and to Lumbini which turned out to be a nightmare. If I had done my due diligence, I would have definitely used Bodhgaya Taxi for our entire trip which I know would have been a safe and enjoyable one. You can read my honest review about the other taxi company elsewhere on the Internet (in case your itinerary coincides with ours and you are thinking of doing what we did). I hope this review finds well with anyone with similar travel needs and looking for advice.
